3. SAB Social Innovation and Disability Empowerment Awards

We find, support and scale social innovations – through challenge funding and tailored mentorship – which can directly and indirectly improve quality of life.

We define social innovation as innovation that demonstrates a sustainable business model while solving a social problem, with a particular emphasis on innovation that benefits women, youth, people with disability or those in rural areas.

4. The “Shark Tank of Wellness” Competition 2018

Deadline: 1 June 2018

The Competition offers university students the chance to compete for prizes totaling $10,000 plus a trip to Cesena, Italy. This unique global challenge will reward three students for their most innovative – and viable – ideas for the wellness industry.

The “Shark Tank of Wellness” competition asks students to submit a future-focused, innovative wellness idea, product or service that has the potential to become a profitable business venture. Each individual or team is required to submit a 1-2 minute video and the Concept Submission Form detailing the concept.

PRIZES:

•Selected participants will receive training free of charge but participants have to cover their own transport and accommodation cost.
•The SAG-SEED Starter is a programme that supports young teams of entrepreneurs in developing and implementing their innovative ideas.
•During the SAG-SEED SEA Starter, the winning teams will develop and refine their business ideas
